WXLLSPACE is an art-tech, marketplace platform that helps real estate operators find, connect with, and hire artists for mural projects across the US. With this platform, you can quickly confirm an artist’s availability and hire someone who is within budget. Since each artist has a virtual showroom of their work, you'll have confidence you’re creating the space you may or may not have envisioned.
As a full stack developer, I joined a diverse team of freelance developers from various countries, collaborating on a project under the leadership of founder Jordan Giha. My role involved closely working with Jordan to grasp his vision and requirements for the project. Despite the project's MVP being relatively straightforward from a programming perspective, there was a strong emphasis on sophisticated design. Our tech stack included React.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, which we leveraged to bring the MVP to life efficiently.
I quickly established myself as a key contributor within the team, taking on the responsibility of developing some of the project's core features. One of the standout features that Jordan was particularly keen on was the creation of an interactive map page. This feature was designed to enable users to search for artists or projects within a specific area. I spearheaded this challenge and successfully implemented it using Mapbox integration, which became a pivotal aspect of the project's user experience.
